Aditya Institute of Technology and Management is located at K. Kotturu, Tekkali, Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh. It is spread over a clean, green, and serene 50-acre area. The institute has the beauty of a modern-day Gurukul. It is situated on the banks of the river Vamsadhara nearby, with the sea an hour's journey away. The institute enjoys a pleasant coastal climate. The college is marching ahead under the able guidance of Chairman Rtn (PHF) Dr. K. Someswara Rao, who is a pediatrician by profession and committed to social service with a special focus on technical education, with unstinted support from Secretary Sri. L.L. Naidu, Director Prof. V.V. Nageswara Rao, and other members of the Sri Aditya Educational Society.
Aditya Institute of Technology and Management currently offers 9 undergraduate programs in the disciplines of ECE, CSE, CSE-AIML, CSE-DS, CSC, INF, EEE, CE, and MECH. The institute also offers postgraduate programs in MBA, MCA, and M.Tech across 5 specializations. The total sanctioned annual intake is 1500 seats in B.Tech programs, 60 seats each in MBA, BBA, MCA, and BCA programs and 72 seats in M.Tech programs.
The Aditya Institute of Technology and Management is ranked among the best self-financing colleges in north coastal Andhra Pradesh, as it sets the highest standards in all areas of curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities and in students' placements. The fact that seats are filled in all branches every academic year is evidence that the college has gained a reputation in the field of technical education. The college is affiliated to JNTU Gurajada, Vizianagaram, and hence follows the curricula prescribed by the Boards of Studies of the affiliating university. Based on industry and student feedback, the college faculty interacts with the university in updating the curriculum from time to time. The college offers some value-added courses to its students in addition to the curriculum prescribed by the university. The success of the college is due to its well-qualified faculty (out of 325 total faculty members, 113 have Ph.D.s, 124 have postgraduate qualifications, with 83 registered for Ph.D. and 5 having submitted their theses) and several of them with rich experience in higher institutes of learning nationwide. The senior faculty members always guide the junior faculty in honing their teaching and research skills. The progress of each course in every semester is closely monitored by a class committee which includes representatives from students. The Electronic Digital Examination Process System for end-semester examinations and the online internal examination system are salient features of the evaluation system followed.
The college encourages its faculty to pursue further research, consultancy, and extension activities apart from teaching. The college motivates its faculty to continue their research work. As a result, 64 of the faculty members are pursuing for Ph.D. in various universities. The research work carried out by the faculty has resulted in the publication of 1,119 papers in journals and at conferences during the last 5 years. The faculty and students of the college take part in extension activities by conducting short-term courses and participating in rural development work in neighboring villages through collaboration with reputed social organizations. For its social service, the college has been awarded the prestigious gold medal from the Hon'ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh. The college excels in fostering research and development, emphasizing innovation and startups. Alumni have successfully launched three buzzing startups, gaining recognition nationwide. Our commitment to excellence is evident through diverse innovation accolades, and we recently announced funding for seven MSME projects. Students secured 95 lakhs funding for seven ideas under the MSME Hackathon.
The college has a total built-up area of 63,578 Sq.Mt with 136 classrooms, 6 seminar halls of different sizes, and 90 laboratories. The Central Library manages a diverse repository of 11,120 titles and 54,200 volumes. Its digital portfolio features 5,565 e-books and 450 e-journals, complemented by 141 print journals. Occupying 1,847.17 sqm across three floors, the facility provides a specialized research environment with a capacity for 600 users. The college has 125 KVA, 24-hour power supply from the A.P. State Electricity Board. Besides this, the college has two generators with a capacity of 325 KVA and 750 KVA, to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the smooth functioning of all routine academic activities. Hostel accommodation is available for about 742 boys and 600 girls in separate hostels. Sports facilities are available with playing fields for all major games and sports spread over an area of about 5 acres.
The pass rate has been consistently around 75% right from the inception of the college, with some university ranks. The placement record for the previous three years has been laudable, with about 70% of eligible candidates getting placed in various campus recruitment drives. The institution has established strong academic credibility through the re-accreditation of all eligible undergraduate programs and the MBA program by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) under the TIER-I format. It has demonstrated significant quality enhancement by improving its National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) grade from ‘B’ (CGPA 2.44) in 2011 to ‘A+’ (CGPA 3.30) in 2019. The institution has consistently secured a position in the Rank Band 201–300 in the Engineering category in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings for 2024 and 2025. It is also recognized as a NAAC Mentor Institution under the UGC PARAMARSH Scheme. Additionally, the institution has been acknowledged by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for its mentoring role. These achievements reflect the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
The management extends whole-hearted support for the overall development of the college in all aspects. Every year, nearly ₹90 lakhs is allocated for the augmentation and modernization of laboratories and equipment, as well as for supporting faculty members pursuing M.Tech and Ph.D. programs through study leave and financial assistance. Faculty and students actively participate in administrative and academic policy decisions through their representation on various institutional committees.
