This college has a speciality in offering 10 strong in-house placement training as a value addition to the potential engineers from second year onwards so that their employable values are enhanced in the world of recruitment. A soft skills expert is on payrolls as a full time trainer to inculcate soft skills like communication skills, team work and team building, leadership skills, positive attitude etc.
Visionary Management has taken a right decision in right time to establish a separate Training and Placement Department as long ago as 2005. This may be the first college in its age-group in AP to take such a revolutionary decision. Today many colleges are following. That is what it happens with the leaders. This shows the management commitment towards life and careers of its college students.
As a beginning, a senior professional in Soft Skills with a fat package was appointed in 2005. Then onwards, slowly but surely a separate placement Training Team was built. Today there are Six full time dedicated training faculty in the department covering all aspects of recruitment processes by any IT or non-IT companies. The training modules cover Aptitude, Technical, English Communication Skills, and Soft Skills.
These are permanent faculty on college pay-rolls and prepare students for campus recruitment drives on a regular basis as a part of syllabus. This training starts from 2 year onwards for all the branches in the college in the areas of Corporate Culture – Team Work, Leadership Skills – Creative Thinking – Motivation – Mind-Set Management etc. During the 3rd and Final Years, more focus would be placed on Career Development Modules like Resume Writing, Group Discussions and Interview facing techniques for the students
Apart from the regular syllabus-oriented training classes, TPC will conduct special training classes as and when there is Placement Drive by any IT or Non-IT Company so that the selection rate will go up.
A high level of planning, coordination and team work is the secret of success of Placement Team. In fact, Training and Placement Department is the strategic tool for the AITAM College to build up a strong Brand Image.
